EXPLORE. DISCOVER. RELAX.
Raja Ampat’s beautiful landscape and magical array of wildlife is a must-see on our trips.
ESCAPE TO A WHOLE NEW WORLD
Not only is there incredible diving on our Liveaboard in Raja Ampat, there’s also some amazing other things you can do when you visit.
The Birds Of Paradise
The male Bird of Paradise is an amazing sight to see in mating season, with its bright red feathers being a stark contrast against the greens of the Papuan rainforest.
Females live in small groups, but the male is usually solitary, making a peculiar, loud call to lure in and impress his mate!
The local Indonesian Papuans use their feathers for their traditional head gear and ceremonial dress, the bird being a symbol of solidarity.
Piaynemo has one of the most epic views in Indonesia and in fact, the world, a perfectly shaped blue/turquoise lagoon we can explore with our smaller boats. A collection of islets scattered in the blue waters, on the island you can climb up some stairs to a spectacular viewpoint to enjoy the sight. It truly is one of the most beautiful spots in the world!
We usually try to fit in a beach visit on one of the smaller uninhabited islands in Raja Ampat. We’ll grab a beer, relax and enjoy the sunset on land, with the sound of the small waves crashing onto the beautiful white beach.
On one of the days of our trip, we’ll anchor up at Arborek Island, a small cosy paradise in Raja Ampat. We usually take our dingy ashore for a little visit, talk to the locals, have a look in their homes, take a stroll on the beach or buy some snacks.
We have an exciting partnership with Manta Trust – on every trip we have a manta researcher who comes aboard the boat to give us a fun manta seminar, teaching us more about mantas and reef protection in this area.
