Mikumba Magic at it's finest

In Komodo National Park we always try to mix up the dive sites to get more variety, including going North for the current at some of our favorite dive sites, Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, and The Cauldron. If we get requests for diving with mantas we usually go Central and dive Karang Makassar & Mawan, and for the best of rest we head to Batu Bolong. Click here to read more about the different dive sites we visit.

If you have booked your trip with us via email or an agent please come to the dive centre the day before by 6pm to check in and get equipment ready.

Before booking please have a look at our Terms & Conditions.

Mikumba Diving best luxury liveaboard Indonesia

Guests must have their own travel insurance, personal dive insurance and trip cancellation insurance with no exclusions for Acts of God and Force Majeure events. You will not be permitted to join our liveaboard trips without presenting insurance information when you check in.

For diver insurance please make sure that it covers you for the depth of your certification and for dive accident cover including recompression treatment.

We can provide short term DAN insurance at an additional cost. Please ask at time of booking if you would like this.

Pre-requisites / Experience Required

We require minimum Open Water certification with 10 dives plus Deep Adventure (can be taken onboard if needed).

We also require that every guest has recent diving experience (within the last year) before joining the Komodo liveaboard.  If not, you will need to do a refresher (can be taken onboard if you can’t do before you arrive).

We can also offer the PADI Advanced Open Water Course whilst on the trip if you want to improve your diving skills.

Dietary Requirements

If you have dietary restrictions we must be notified of this before your arrival, however, due to our remote location and nature of the trips we can’t guarantee that they can be met.  Where possible, we are happy to prepare meals with food that is brought on to the boat and we recommend purchasing this in Bali or from back home as you may not find what you need in Labuan Bajo.

If you suffer from severe allergies or medical conditions you must make sure you have adequate medication with you and let us know so we can inform our boat crew. It is also a good idea to get medical clearance from a doctor too.

The medical facilities here are minimal and evacuation to the nearest major hospital (Bali) can take 12-24 hours in good conditions.

Recompression Chamber

Although we hope we never need to use it there is a recompression chamber at Siloam Hospital.
