If you’re still trying to decide where to book your next liveaboard in Indonesia, then carry on reading…

Mikumba Diving Jelajahi Laut Indonesia

One of the best trips we’ve had this year was our Banda Sea Ring of Fire Expedition!

We have just finished the Banda Sea Crossing from Ambon to Raja Ampat taking Jelajahi Laut over for the Raja Ampat season.  She’ll be for there for next few months before making the return trip all the way back to Komodo National Park in April & May 2023.

This trip was awesome, and we saw some fantastic creatures, both big and small – from Hammerhead Sharks and Whales to Pygmy Seahorses and Nudibranchs in all the colours of the rainbow!

The Banda Sea crossing took us from Ambon through Banda Neira and the Spice Islands where we visited the 17th century Dutch Fort, up to Misool, taking in famous spots like Amet Reef, Pulau Hatta and Koon along the way, and then into Central Raja Ampat where amongst other sites we dived Melissa’s Garden, the Dampier Straits, Cape Kri and Blue Magic before we finished the trip in Sorong Harbour.

On 19th April – 3rd May 2023, we will be doing this trip in reverse on our West Papua to Maluku Expedition where we leave Sorong, to spend 15 days heading back to Ambon.

We’ll then spend a few days restocking and getting Jelajahi Laut ready for another 15-day expedition, on 7th-21st May, the Volcanic Spice Tour, where we leave Ambon, going through the Banda Islands, and Gili Manuk before heading South to the Forgotten Islands.  We’ll then make our way West via Wetar Island over to Alor, with plenty of amazing diving along the way, before finally heading in to Maumere Harbour.

Here’s a video from one of our previous trips and we hope to see you on the next one!
